In Feel the Music! art workshops, participants explore watercolour, collage, mask making, large sculptures, mural making, printmaking, pastels and more. Participants explore the use of abstract elements such as color, form and texture to create images. In a supportive atmosphere, each person’s strengths are encouraged and built upon through the full process of creative discovery and group experiences.

In family/parent-child art classes, workshops are designed to provide families with opportunities for relaxed and concentrated time together in creative pursuits developing each members’ own aesthetic sense.

Special art projects have been designed for specific events and partnerships, such as the large public murals created at both WTC Responder Day 2008 & 2010; and the group “Mandala” mural and woven fabric piece created during Project Common Bond 2008. Sculptures, watercolours and collage created by 9/11 families in our Saturdays workshops have been displayed at St. Peter’s Church.

Our current large-scale art project is The Mural Project.
