Since 2006 Feel the Music! has partnered with the Long Island hospital-based program, Sibs Place, to offer guitar and piano lessons to children who have a chronically ill sibling. Sibs Place offers a hospital-based supportive haven for well children to receive homework help, dinner and – via Feel the Music! – guitar and piano lessons, while parents are busy with the hospitalized child.
Piano and guitar lessons are bi-weekly and culminate in a recital for friends and family.
In addition, Feel the Music! provides drumming, story-telling and percussion workshops for annual Sibs Place events in the summer and fall.
