Ann Klein has played guitar for Toshi Reagon, Kate Pierson (of the B-52s), Ani DiFranco, Natalie Imbruglia, Joan Osborne, PM Dawn, Betty, Imani Coppola (Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Vibe), and Stephen King. She has independently recorded 4 cds: “Driving You Insane”, “For the Love of Love”, “Waiting for the Snow” and “My Own Backyard”. She will be releasing another cd in the fall of 2006 and will tour in Europe in support of the disc. She has been featured in Billboard (3 full length articles) and other national music magazines such as Relix. Ann has toured Europe consistently and has received support from hundreds of U.S. college radio stations and local press. She has performed on several occasions on WXPN’s “World Cafe”, and WDST’s (Woodstock) “Sessions”. In addition, Ann wrote music/sound for 3 documentaries for both the ARTE channel and France 3 (French public television). Ani DiFranco invited Ann to sit in and take a few solos during her set for four consecutive shows. Ann also received a grant to attend the MacDowell Colony for the Summer 2000 session. In 2005 she was invited as a guest teacher in Denmark at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory. In 2005, Ann was hired to write music for “The Energy Factory”, a company dedicated to tackling the growing problem of child obesity in the United States. Ann produces other artists, including Sara Wendt, who is currently getting airplay at Triple A radio around the country.
