Corey Tatarczuk is an artist and filmmaker with more than a decade’s experience teaching media and arts to young people. She has created several successful arts programs for public schools, non-profit organizations and founded RECYouth (now closed) for the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation. Through photography, music, film and video, she is dedicated to teaching young people that media is a tool for creative expression. Many of Corey’s students have gone on to careers or further education in the media, including the film, television and music industries. Her students’ work has been featured in international film festivals, television broadcast, galleries, public art installations and more. As a filmmaker, visual artist and dancer, Corey is often inspired by the young people she has worked with.
