Feel the Music! at VISIONS

Feel the Music! launched a new program this spring at VISIONS! Renowned percussionists Bashiri Johnson and Gary Fritz taught weekly percussion workshops for the blind and visually impaired at VISIONS, engaging participants in rhythms and hand techniques. By the end of the workshop each participant could solo on their own drum! We are thrilled to announce our spring 2012 schedule for Songwriting for Seniors at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, at St. Peter’s Church. Starting March 29, 2012, Feel the Music! will bring weekly songwriting workshops to seniors at Lenox Hill with renowned songwriting instructors Ina May Wool and Thomas Boyd. NYC Master Chorale 9/11 Concert to Benefit Feel the Music!

On Saturday, September 10, 2011, 3 pm, at Church of St. Paul the Apostle (60th and Columbus), NYC Master Chorale will perform a 9/11 Remembrance Concert with the Empire City Men’s Chorus. Singer-songwriter and Feel the Music! founder/director, Valerie Ghent, has been invited to speak at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music on Sunday, September 11th.
